Question: Is the cinnamon used in this soap just a scent or the essential oil? I heard honey & cinnamon essential oil is good for acne.....yes, I'm always on the lookout for acne products for my teens.

Beef BBQ Sandwiches
2 Cans of Roast Beef
1 Bottle Favorite BBQ Sauce
1 Package (8) Hamburger Buns
Place roast beef in a strainer. Rinse with cold water to remove the heavy gravy. Place beef in a skillet over medium heat. Add desired amount of BBQ sauce to meat. Mix Well. Use fork to break the clumps of meat up into shredded pieces of meat. When hot, serv on buns with a tablespoon of slaw & a side of your favorite chips.
Servings: 8 Sandwiches
Prep Time: 15 Minutes

Due to the ups & downs in the weather lately, I woke up both yesterday & today with headaches (not a pleasant way to start the day). Yep, I inhaled & soon afterwards, my headaches were gone & I didn't have to use Tylenol at all. Thanks for coming up with such a nifty product.

Title: Smelly Jelly Refills
A customer has found a new use for our Smelly Jelly Refills. She used the fragrance oil in her tea light warmer. Her comments are as follows:
"It lasted for weeks, the fragrance was awesome whether the tea light was lit or not. I was very impressed with how long the fragrance lasted. I ended up dumping the oil, just so I could try another fragrance. lol"
PLEASE NOTE - Do NOT dump unused Warming Oils or Fragrance Oils down your sink. It won't clog your sink but if you have the PVC/plastic pipes it might eat it....the Fragrance Oils don't like the plastic and the Warming Oils have an added agent to them.

We don't have anything stretch mark specific but the key to minimizing stretch marks is to keep them moisturized so good picks would be our Cosmic Body Lotion or even our bath oils used as a body oil. I would also recommend that they be used unscented if you're talking about pregnancy stretch marks.

Title: Bug Bites
From Better Homes & Gardens - May 2006 issue:
Keep some essential oil of lavendar on hand for this year's blackfly and mosquito seasons. When someone in your family gets chomped, place one drop of lavendar oil directly on the bite. For multiple bites, make a blend of 1 cup cider vinegar, or the juice of two lemons, mixed with 10 drops lavender oil and 5 drops thyme essenial oil. Add the mixture to a tub of water and swish around before you or your child gets in. Soak a washcloth or sponge and liberally wipe down the bites. Keep the water away from eyes.

Hi, first off, I would like to say that I love these aroma cakes! I wasn't expecting them to be so big. My question is how do you use these? I have about 4 tart burners and it is too big for them.
Answer:
The aroma cakes are designed for large tart warmers and votive warmers. If you wish to use them in smaller warmers cut them into 4 chunks and melt each separately.

Title: Essential Oils
Essential Oil Applications
These statements have not been evaluated by the FDA. This information is not intended to diagnose, cure, prevent or treat any disease.
How do you use those bottles of essential oils you just purchased? There are several methods which you use for convenience and effectiveness.
Diffusers/Vaporizers: There are many diffusers on the market today from simple candle diffusers, to electric and wearable diffusers. These will heat, diffuse or vaporize the essential oil molecules into the air. Most candle diffusers have a bowl or bowl shaped receptacle where you place some water and a few drops of your favorite oil or blend. Electric diffusers may have the same feature, or will have an absorbent pad on which you place your oils, then it circulates the air around it. View electronic fragrancers. Some electronic fragrancers may have temperature control so oils do not dry up or burn as they can do with candle burners. You can even purchase a diffuser for your car. It may be and object that you add oil allowing it to evaporate or an electronic diffuser which plugs into the cigarette lighter.
Water: Essential oils can be diffused using water sources such as a bath, shower, steam treatment, spa, radiator, humidifier and even a table fountain. Keep in mind the oils will float on the water.
Bath/Spa: Add a few drops to water at anytime and soak 10 - 15 min.
Shower: After rinsing off soap, add a few drops to sponge or cloth and massage over body. If you use an unscented body wash you can add the oils to that however they will most likely wash off during the rinse.
Steam: Fill bowl with hot water, add a few drops to water, cover head and bowl with towel (be sure to keep your eyes closed) and inhale.
Radiator: Place a few drops in a non metal shallow container of water on the hot radiator or pipes.
Table Fountain/Humidifier: Add 3-4 drops to water while running pump. I've been doing this for quite sometime without any problems. Clean pump regularly. You can also purchase a misting pump for table fountains which gives off the same mist as a humidifier and gives your fountain the dry ice effect of misty clouds surrounding it.
Candles: Candles can be purchased all ready made however you should inquire on the quality and validity of the ingredients. Many "aromatherapy" stated candles are made with fragrances, not pure essential oils. You can also use an unscented candle and add a couple drops to the melted wax as the candle is burning.
Light bulbs: Light bulb rings usually made of ceramic or clay will hold the oils and rest on the bulb providing a heat source for diffusion.
Direct inhalation: Place a drop on tissue, blotter or handkerchief and inhale when needed. You can keep this sealed in a plastic bag for longer use. You can also purchase small vials to keep in your purse to inhale when needed.
Body: The applications here are endless from shampoos, bath salts, powders, salves, fragrances to lotions, creams and massage oils. You can formulate your own or purchase pure organic unscented bases and add your own oils.

Title: Tarts & Warmers
Question:
I have a quick question for you.........I was browsing thru your site and I'm mainly interested in votives. I prefer to burn candles and I love the scented ones. I noticed the tarts...just how do they work? And how do the warmers work? There wasn't much on the page to explain them. Thanks.
Answer:
There are many places where you would like to have the scent of a candle but can’t burn one…such as offices, workplaces, drafty areas, etc. Using an electric tart or votive warmer allows you to melt scented wax without a flame. Using tarts allows you to receive the maximum amount of scent. You just put a few tarts into the warmer and turn it on. The scents used in candles and tarts is flammable and using a wick reduces the amount of scent the manufacturer can put into a candle without causing a fire hazard. Since there is no wick and no flame (when using an electric warmer), the amount of scent in tarts can be increased to the maximum amount the wax will hold.
Using an electric warmer with tarts is the ideal way to get the scent you like distributed quickly in any area. Since there is no flame you can use the warmer anywhere you have electricity. Since the tarts are small, they melt quickly and the scent will begin to be released in just a few minutes.

People have safely enjoyed using candles for centuries. Their colors and scents enhance everyday life and evoke memories of special events. Candles are a source of light and delight when used properly. However, if certain precautions are not taken, candles can also become a factor in a chain of events that can result in unnecessary injury and even death.
1 - Always keep a burning candle within sight.
2 - Keep candles out of the reach of children and pets. Do not place lighted candles where they can be knocked over by children, pets or anyone else.
3- Candles need to breathe. If you burn a candle in a small room, it is likely to smoke. Please consider the size of your room when you display your new candles. Make sure it is in a well ventilated area.
4 - Always use a candleholder specifically designed for candle use. The holder should be heat resistant, sturdy and large enough to contain any drips or melted wax. Be sure the candleholder is placed on a stable, heat-resistant surface.
5 - If the candles are a part of a decorative arrangement, place each candle at least three inches apart from one another. This is to be sure they don’t melt one another, or create their own drafts that will cause the candles to burn improperly.
6 - Make sure that the candles are placed in a safe distance from any flammable material.
7 - Keep burning candles away from drafts, vents and air currents. This will help prevent rapid, uneven burning, smoking and excessive dripping. Drafts can also blow lightweight curtains or papers into the flame where they could catch fire. Ceiling fans can cause drafts.
8 - Keep the wax pool free of wick trimmings, matches and debris at all times.
9 - Keep your wicks trimmed!! This is essential for a clean, smoke free burn. Many people complain about candles that smoke and this can be eliminated by trimming the wicks to ¼ inch every time you burn the candle. This is true for all types of candles.
10 - To prevent smoking, trim wick to ¼ inch prior to each use and keep trimmed. If candle smokes, extinguish, trim wick & re-light.
11 - Pillar candles should be extinguished if the wax pool approaches the outer edge. Burn pillar candles 1 hour for every inch of its diameter.
12 - Jar containers may become hot. Never touch or move a jar candle when the wax is liquid. When burning your jar candle you need to burn it long enough for it to pool out to the outside edge of the jar. This will prevent wax build up around the outside of the jar giving the candle a longer burn time.
13 - Votive candles must be in a container. They are made of a low melt wax. The tighter the fit the longer the candle will burn. Never touch or move a votive candle when the wax is liquid. Discontinue use when ½” of wax remains.
14 - Gel candles may resemble a beverage or food products. Keep in mind when children and pets are present. Burn gel candles for 2 hours at a time.
15 - Extinguish the flame if it comes too close to the holder or container. For a margin of safety, discontinue burning a candle when 2” of wax remain (1/2” if in a container). This will also help prevent possible heat damage to the counter/surface and prevent glass containers from cracking or breaking.
16 - Never "blow out" a candle. Blowing will spray the wax everywhere and cause the candle to drip and smoke. The most effective way to extinguish the flame of a candle is to use a candle snuffer. If you don't own a snuffer, the best way to extinguish the candle is to place your forefinger in front of the flame before you blow. This clever trick means that the air will hit the flame from the sides instead of hitting it directly.
17 - For container candles, extinguish by dipping wick into melted wax then reposition. This will help eliminate smoking.
18 - Do not extinguish candles with water. The water can cause the hot wax to spatter and can cause glass containers to break.
19 - Store candles in a cool, dry place. Direct sunlight may fade the color and prevent a candle from burning evenly.
20 - Flashlights and other batter-powered lights are much safer light sources than candles during a power failure.
21 - Never use a candle as light when you go into a closet to look for things.
IMPORTANT
While everything we have described will enhance your experience burning candles, the advice below is essential. Please ensure you read this advice for burning your candles safely.
1 - Keep burning candle within sight at all times.
2 - Keep candle out of reach of children and pets.
3 - Do not burn candle on or near anything that can catch fire.
4 - Trim wick to ¼” before use.
5 -Do not burn candles for more than what has been described in this pamphlet.
6 - Avoid drafts and excessive vibrations.
7 - Do not touch or move candles when lit or until wax hardens.
8 - Glass becomes hot during operation.
9 - Keep candle free of wick trimmings, matches or any other material.
10 - Discontinue use as explained in this pamphlet.

Title: How do the Powders work?
Question:
Is the Cosmic Body powder just that, body powder? And, how is the Powdered Silk used? In the bath or on your skin?
Answer:
The Cosmic Body Powder is a body powder, however, it's used in many ways by so many...as a sprinkle on the sheets, sprinkled in shoes, sprinkled under couch cushions etc.
The Powdered Silk works just like the body powder and can be used as a body powder or the other uses. It's main purpose however is as a bath additive to soften dry skin.

Title: Tire Rubber Smell on Clothing
Question:
My husband builds tires for a living and getting the sweat and rubber smell out of his clothes is a nightmare. I have tried everything I know of but they just don't help. What would you suggest?
Answer:
Toss one of our muslin Dryer Sachets into the dryer with your laundry and enjoy the wonderful fragrance while you're folding the laundry. The scent will be waiting for you when you use the linens days later! Sachets last approximately 10-15 loads. Title: Smoke Smell in Cupboards
Question:
How does one get the smell of smoke out of a cupboard? Smoke had swirled in it for about five minutes before it was discovered. We have placed baking soda in it, with minimal difference.

Title: Dealing With Frizzy Hair
Question:
I have extremely dry and frizzy hair. The only way I can keep the "frizzies" away is by using gel or mousse on it, which makes my hair curly. Sometimes I just don't want to use these things and would like straight hair, my hair is long. I have not been blow drying it, have tried using hair spray on a brush, Fizz Ease, etc. Can you help me find a different solution to tame and control the awful frizzies that seem to haunt me?

Title: Color or Chemically Treated Hair

I do color my hair, does that matter with your product?

While we've not directly tested our products on color treated hair & don't have lab testing to show, many of my fellow associates, who use our products on a regular basis have color or chemically treated hair and use the products wthout any problems.

Title: Candle Warmers
Question:
Should I shut off the warmer once the candle has turned to liquid, or keep the warmer on and continue to warm the liquid wax for the best fragrance?
Answer:
I personally would leave the warmer on even after the wax is melted. This will intensify the aroma throw. Just be sure to turn it off when you leave the house.
